This new music CD from the SpaTones, called Blue Sunset, is an interesting atmospheric offering, suitable for playing in the public areas of a spa, or in treatment rooms to lull the guests to sleep as they are coddled and massaged. The CD is one long track, more than 40 minutes, and maintains a feel throughout which is soporifically pleasant. The SpaTones is a collaboration between two China music veterans – Evan Chen and Graham Earnshaw, and there is a slight old China feel to some of the sounds and elements. Hypnotic.
